IMS Set Up
1. We will do it for you all you have to do is call Miva Merchant support at (866) 284-9812 and press Option 3
Or
2. If you?d prefer to do it yourself:
a. Login to your Miva Merchant admin (usually www.yourdomain.com/mm5/admin.mvc)
b. Click on Payment Settings in the left hand navigation (if you?re using Miva Merchant 4 or 5.0 you?ll need to click the ?+? next to the word Stores and then click the ?+? next to the name of your store)
c. Check the box that says Innovative Gateway Solutions and click Update
d. Click on the Tab for Innovative Gateway Solutions
e. Enter your User Name and Password in the appropriate fields
f. Set the Transaction Type
i. Pre-Auth authorizes the funds only and you have to complete a capture once you?ve shipped your product (this can be done either through Order Processing in the admin or directly in the Gateway)
ii. Sale authorizes and captures the funds in a single step so no further action is necessary to receive your funds (this should be done if you ship on the same day you receive your orders or if you have digitally downloaded goods)
g. Choose your Available Payment Methods and if you want to use CVV codes
i. By default your new account is approved for Visa, MasterCard and Discover
ii. In order to use American Express you should have requested that during the account creation process
h. Click Update
i. Go to your storefront (usually www.yourdomain.com/mm5/merchant.mvc) and place a test order
i. This order will decline and should contain the message ?Unable to Authorize Payment. The Server Connection IP is invalid?
ii. If you received a different message check your username and password to make sure they were entered correctly (at any time you can call our support department for assistance)
j. After your order has declined due to an unauthorized IP Address, you?ll need to login to the Gateway at https://miva.innovativegateway.com
k. Once logged in, click on Reports
l. Then click on Transaction Search
m. Put in the proper date and click Search
n. Choose the failed transaction from the Search Results (check your pop up blocker to make sure you can see the Transaction Details)
o. On the Details page you?ll find the Purchaser IP address on the bottom, copy that IP address
p. Now click on Security in the Gateway navigation bar
q. Click on Add An IP
r. Paste your server IP address and click Add The IP
s. CONGRATULATIONS YOU?RE READY TO ACCEPT PAYMENTS!
